California developer, wife killed in Utah crash

- RICHFIELD, Utah (AP) - Family members say a 59-year-old northern California developer and his 56-year-old wife have died in a single-engine plane crash in the central Utah mountains.

California Bank of Commerce Director Peter Branagh and his wife Mona were flying from the San Francisco Bay Area to Aspen, Colo., on Saturday but never arrived.

Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis says a private helicopter crew hired by the family found the wreckage Sunday in a remote area 30 miles southeast of Salina. Authorities have not yet released the victims' identities.

Family members say in a statement issued Tuesday that the Branaghs were known for their passionate devotion to their family and faith as well as their commitment to development and design.

Peter Branagh was president of Branagh Development. His wife ran Pacific Bay Interiors.
