Thursday morning the Blue Angels are going to be practicing their flight demonstrations for their spectators this Saturday and Sunday.
The entire team arrived Tuesday to St. George and they say Utah is one of their favorite places to fly.
"The scenery is beautiful....you look around ...and it's one of the most spectacular places i think in the country," said Lt. Ryan Chamberlain.
That beauty comes with a challenge, but it's nothing Lt. Ryan Chamberlain can't handle or any of the other six Blue Angel demo pilots taking to the sky practicing Thursday and Friday and performing Saturday and Sunday.
"It's a little bit more difficult for us because the airplane handles a little bit differently in higher altitudes ....every city we go to 34 cities across the us....each has its unique challenges and certainly here when you can look at mountains like this it makes it a lot better," said Chamberlain.
I have to say from my very own experience, he's right the view from 15,000 feet up is spectacular.
So if you haven't made plans this weekend, get to the St. George Municipal Airport for the best seat in the house watching the entire Blue Angels Squadron perform.
"Thunder of Utah it's going to be a great performance with the Blue Angels as well as a lot of civilian acts and I think it's going to be a great time for the entire family to see aviation and experience what it's like to be a part of it," said Lt. Chamberlain.
