Kyle Gearing completed just two passes, both for touchdowns, before being knocked out of the game with a concussion at the end of the first half.
But the Miners defense shut the Bengals out in the second half to roll to the victory. This is Bingham's third state title in the last four years.
"I couldn't be more proud to be the coach at Bingham High School with what we represent and the way we play the game," said Dave Peck. "Our kids have just been terrific. This is 30 years for me and this group has just been unbelievable."
Kade Jensen took over for Gearig, but attempted just one incomplete pass. The rest of the damage was done on the ground, led by Scott Nichols who rushed for 169 yards and scored two touchdowns.
"It feels really good because a lot of people were doubting us because we've got all this hype around us," said Nichols, who had 216 total yards. "But we just went out and did it."
The Miners (14-0) raced out to a 21-0 first quarter lead. Gearig scored on a 14-yard run, then tossed a 51-yard touchdown pass to Nichols and a 33-yarder to Landon Measom.
Brighton got back in the game in the second quarter as Robbie Hutchins scored on a 11-yard touchdown run. Then with less than two minutes left in the half, Sione Heimuli returned an interception back 46 yards for the score. Gearig got hurt on the play trying to tackle Heimuli.
"When they told me I couldn't play, I was definitely emotional," Gearing said. "I was crying, but I had complete faith in Kade. I knew he'd be able to lead this team. I definitely have a headache right now, but it's all worth it."
The Miners took the second half kickoff and took nine minutes off the clock with a drive that ended in a field goal. Then, after a fumble recovering, Bingham put the game away on a 19-yard touchdown run by Nichols.
Bingham capped off the scoring with a 62-yard interception return for a touchdown by Sky Manu.
Bingham, ranked 23rd in the country by USA Today, piled up 251 yards rushing, and held Brighton to just 25 yards passing.
