Utah mother writes touching song for daughter with Down Syndrome

The song is called "You Can Do Anything"

A little over a year ago, Utah mother Mindy Guymon gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her daughter was born with Down Syndrome.

So Mindy decided she would write a song for her baby girl, reminding her she can accomplish amazing things.

The song, entitled, "You Can Do Anything"  is full of encouragement.

"When you were born, there were so many unknowns. We were not certain of what you would do and just what the future could hold But then you smiled, and your eyes lit up the room, and I knew that you'd be teaching me much more than I'd ever teach you.

People may say lots of things, and maybe they just don't believe. Don't let the world limit you, you can do anything that you want to.

Each day you grow, and discover something new. Even though you may have challenges you never have let that stop you. Each day you climb, another summit to pursue and no matter when you reach the top it's such an incredible view.

Chorus

Sometimes there are days when we just don't know, how high our potential can go. I promise you to do all that I can to help you understand.

People may say lots of things and maybe they just don't believe. Don't let the world limit you, you can do anything that you want to."

Mindy says she wants to spread the message across the world.

"People with Down Syndrome can accomplish their dreams and do amazing things," Mindy said. "Never place limitations on anyone based on what YOU believe they can do. When given the chance, they will always surprise you."
