Utah man arrested for setting 4 Oregon wildfires

PORTLAND, Ore. (ABC4 Utah)- A Utah man has been arrested for setting wildfires in Oregon.

Police say 37-year-old Christopher Wilson from Salt Lake City is accused of setting four fire in southern Oregon last month. Three of the fires were contained to less than two acres, but according to our sister station KOIN, the 4th fire grew to over 1,200 acres. It was named the McKay Fire.

Wilson was identified thanks to tips from the public. He was arrested Sept. 3rd driving a stolen car.

Police in Oregon believe he may be responsible for other wildfires as well.
