Teenage girls injured after being struck by vehicle in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN (News4Utah) - Two teenage girls have been taken to the hospital this evening after being struck by a car in West Jordan.

Sergeant J.C. Holt with the West Jordan Police Department said the accident occurred around 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of 3420 West and 7000 South.

Both girls, age 14, were crossing south to north in the crosswalk when then driver struck them as they were traveling east. The girls were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Holt says that intersection was not well lit and most likely the driver did not see the girls. The driver is currently cooperating with police.
