LOGAN, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- One of the teenagers accused of shooting Deserae Turner in the head pleaded guilty in court Tuesday morning.
Colter Peterson pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and robbery and could face six years to life in prison.
According to court documents, Peterson and Jayzon Decker came up with a plan to kill Turner. In February, she was found with a gunshot wound to her head. Documents say Turner had been left to die in a dry canal by Sky View High School.
Tuesday, Peterson admitted to carrying out the shooting. Officials say Decker acted as the lookout.
Peterson's sentencing will not start until Decker's case is resolved.
