Suspected felon leads West Valley Police on a wild pursuit after ramming patrol car

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (News4Utah) - UPDATE: Police said Wednesday night Todd Pace was found at a home within the line of sight of West Valley City Police Department. He surrendered to officers. 


A wanted felon that lead officers on a high speed chase through West Valley City is still on the run, police say.

According to West Valley Police, their officers spotted Todd Pace at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday near 3524 South Market Street. When police approached the man, they tell News4Utah that he got into his car and drove off.

Traffic camera video from the Utah Department of Transportation shows the chase going through multiple intersections.

Police say during the chase, the suspect rammed into one of their patrol cars after almost hitting other drivers in the area.

Police say they spiked Pace's vehicle multiple times. His car eventually came to a stop near 5400 South 2300 West in Taylorsville. At that point, officers say the suspect got out the car and ran away.

Police used helicopters and K9 units to try and find the suspect, but they were unsuccessful.
