Police Seize 'High-Quality' Marijuana From Millcreek Home

Anonymous Tip Leads Investigators to More Than 60 Pounds of Pot

MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4 Utah) Unified Police Department detectives seized more than 60 pounds of marijuana from a Millcreek home Tuesday. 
 
Police served a search warrant at 1553 East 3115 South and found 63 pounds of "high quality" marijuana. Police say the street value is estimated between $225,000 and $250,000. 
 
Detectives also seized about $23,000 of alleged drug sale money. 
 
Police believe Kevin Mechling, the sole occupant of the home, was getting and selling the pot in high volumes. 
 
An anonymous tip, originally lead them to the house. Then investigators reported seeing lots of traffic to and from the home  leading to probable cause for a warrant.
