Woman robbed at gunpoint at ATM, police say

TAYORSVILLE, Utah (News4Utah) – Unified Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a Taylorsville bank Monday evening.

Police say they received a call around 7:45 p.m. who reported being robbed a gunpoint at the Wells Fargo ATM at 4700 South 4000 West.

The woman was getting money out of the drive-through ATM when, police say she was approached by a white male suspect. He pulled out a gun and took her money. The suspect fled from the scene on foot.

Officers set up a containment, but they were unable to find the man. The suspect was described as wearing a blue hoodie with a white print on the front, jeans and black and white shoes.

Police are asking the public to remain cognizant of their surroundings.

The woman was not injured in the incident.
