Police Investigating After Woman Attacked in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) Salt Lake police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred over the weekend. The attack happened early Sunday morning.
 
Police say a woman was walking past 2466 South Highland Drive when a man walked up behind her, grabbed her and pushed her to the ground and put his hand up her skirt. 
 
When the woman screamed, officers say the man ran off toward Fairmont Park. 
 
"And this individual, she did have a plan, she fought back which ultimately saved her from being seriously injured and fortunately in this case she was not injured, she sustained no injuries at all," said Det. Cody Lougy with Salt Lake City Police Department.
 
The suspect is described as white with light colored hair standing roughly 6 feet tall with a slim athletic build.
