WASHINGTON D.C. (ABC4 Utah)- A Utah business owner was honored at the White House Monday as part of President Trump’s “Made in America” week.
The Trump administration is honoring workers and companies who make “Made in America” their standard.
Paul Swenson, the owner of Colonial Flags, was selected to represent Utah.
Colonial flag was the Utah company perhaps best known for setting up the “Healing Field” each year to remember the victims of the 9/11 attack.
Swenson told ABC4 why the American flag is so important.
"The flag in every aspect is a symbol of unity....I like to take it down to each stitch within the flag represents an American...We might have a tear over in this part of the flag or it gets worn out [if we] have some strife or natural disaster or some sort of political unrest, but overall the rest of the flag can hold it together," he said.
The White House honored him and 49 others and showed off products from all 50 states made and produced in America.
