Orem mayor celebrates Head Start's 52nd anniversary with Kids On The Move

OREM, Utah (ABC4 Utah)  Richard Brunst, mayor of Orem City, read to children at Kids On The Move (KOTM) to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the National Head Start Association.
 
“It was a special treat to have him come and read to our kids,” said Ruby Haddock, the VP of Development at KOTM, “Mayor Brunst is easy going and really well loved by the community. The kids really enjoyed spending time with him.”
 
KOTM’s Early Head Start Program serves low-income families and expectant mothers that are in need of parenting support. It promotes healthy family functioning and literacy, and nurturing parent-child interaction. The Early Head Start Program supports children ages birth to 3.
 
The National Head Start Association supports the growth of families across the nation. KOTM says since its start in 1965, more than 32 million children have benefited from its services.
