MIDWAY, Utah (News4Utah) - It’s finally cold enough for the Midway Ice Castles to open to the public.
Friday, December 29 is opening night. The acre-sized interactive attraction features ice covered tunnels, fountains, slides and frozen thrones.
Builders have spent the last four weeks dripping, shaping and hand placing icicles to create a frozen playground.
"What you're going to experience is basically a large playground so to speak, a really large interactive area where you get to go in and be immersed in ice,” said Brent Christensen, founder and designer.
The Ice Castles in Midway is one of six locations this year. You can buy tickets at icecastles.com/midway.
