WEST JORDAN, Utah (News4Utah) –A juvenile was taken into police custody after they say he made a “threatening” post on social media Wednesday.
West Jordan police say they received a tip from a student at Joel P. Jensen Middle School. The student saw a concerning post on Instagram.
Police say a boy was posed with a gun and there was question was posted to the picture asking if he was going to shoot up the school.
The student replied with “[expletive] yes.”
Officers tracked down the student and paid a visit to his home. He was arrested and taken into custody. Police say the juvenile is not a student at Joel P. Jensen Middle School.
Police say Jordan School District will send an alert to parents.
