Memorial concert Saturday for Utahn killed in London terror attack

- BOUNTIFUL, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- The family and friends of the Utahn killed in a London terror attack in March will be holding a memorial concert Saturday.

Kurt Cochran and his wife, Melissa were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in London back in March when a suspected terrorist driving a vehicle started hitting people on the bridge.  Both of the Cochran's were struck by the vehicle.  Kurt died at a local hospital.

It took weeks for Melissa to recover from her injuries.

On Saturday, June 24th the community is invited to celebrate Kurt. His family said it was the love of music that brought Kurt and Melissa together. "Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy local music with us as Kurt loved to do every chance he had," the event on Facebook said.

Local food truck and several bands will be at the event.

It's set to start at 11 a.m. and will run until 8 p.m. at Bountiful City Park.

Members of Kurt's family are expected to perform several songs between noon and 1 p.m.
