PANGUITCH (News4Utah)- A man is behind bars after police say he buried his mother's body under a pile of coal.
According to police, Pete Marker sent a letter to his niece explaining that her grandmother (his mom) had died Christmas Day and that he had "taken care of the body".
When she received the letter, she immediately went to police. On January 10th, officers in Garfield County say they found the 90-year-old woman's body "under a large amount of coal in the coal bin of her home in Panguitch."
Marker was taken into custody shortly after.
