Knifepoint robber hits Murray businesses

Police need your help to catch him

MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Murray Police need your help to find a man they say is responsible for two armed robberies in roughly 15 minutes Thursday night.

The first robbery happened around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday night at Olympus Burgers. Surveillance video shows a suspect walk in the store, point his finger and demand cash. He is holding a knife.

Roughly 10 minutes later, Murray Police think the same guy hit Roxberry Juice Smoothies. That’s where 16-yr-old Merrick Klingler was working behind the counter.

“And I see him pull something out of his pocket, and I assume it’s just a wallet. And then I see it’s a knife,” said Klingler.

“He’s telling us to open up the register and give him all of the money,” added Klingler.

“Panicked a little bit. It was scary. I was shaking really bad,” said Klingler.

Police say it appears there is a getaway driver, too. At both stores, a silver SUV is waiting for the robber and drives away.
