Interactive map shows real-time air pollution data in your neighborhood

Air quality is diminishing in the Salt Lake Valley as the weekend approaches.

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality is forecasting Friday as an orange air day, or “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups”. Those who would like to monitor the air-quality throughout the day can visit the DEQ website where every hour the current air quality conditions for each county is populated.

If you would like to dig a little deeper, the MesoWest Utah Air Quality observation map provides real-time conditions in your neighborhood.

The interactive map gathers information with the last hour from resources across Utah. These fixed-site monitors are deployed by the DEQ, PurpleAir, and even UTA TRAX light rails.

They page collects this information and provides links to graphs that show the data over the previous 24 hours.
