Extra police presence at Roy High School after threat of violence

ROY, Utah (News4Utah) - Roy High School is the latest school in the state to receive a threat of violence. According to school officials, a student made a written threat inside one of the restrooms on campus.

The administration was made aware of the threat on Wednesday and sent an email to parents.

“We had some graffiti in a bathroom that made a threat. Although we do not believe the threat is credible, we take all threats seriously and are continuing to investigate the incident,” the Roy High School Administration said in the email.

As a precaution, there will be a heightened police presence at the school on Thursday.
