Next weekend, you can take part in a 5K and fun run to support a program that helps provide answers to parents who have a child with an undiagnosed disease.
Shauna and Brook Bingham share their family story. They are joined by their sons Koa and Tosh.
Tosh went undiagnosed for four years as they saw almost every specialist in the Salt Lake Valley.
Without the Penelope Program, Tosh's rare genetic mutation would will be a mystery. They are beyond thankful for this very new 'pilot' program and want to raise awareness of how many families this could potential help.
The event will be held at Sugarhouse Park at the "Big Field Pavilion" starting at 9 a.m. Registration will begin at 8 a.m.
100% of all proceeds raised will be donated to the Penelope Program at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah.
