The Heart & Stroke Walk is the American Heart Association's premier event for raising funds to save lives from the country's and Utah's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke. (In Utah stroke is still number four).
It's coming up on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Sugar House Park.
Funds raised at the Heart Walk help place up-to-the-minute research into doctor's hands, explore groundbreaking pediatric heart and stroke research and relay life-saving information to those who need it most.
The Heart & Stroke walk also helps people see the importance of physical activity and healthy-living and creates an environment that's fun and rewarding.
Ryan Nelson, Region President at Zions Bank, and this year's Walk Chair came on Midday with stroke survivor Mark Sherrell (whose wife also works at Zions Bank).
And it's not too late to register. Just visit: www.heartwalkutah.org to start your team or join Zions Bank's team.
