Brighten up the office for a good cause during 'Daffodil Days'

The American Cancer Society is offering a way for you to show appreciation for the people in your life all while supporting a good cause.

It's called "Daffodil Days". Organizers say now through Feb. 18th you can order fresh daffodils for your team, staff, clients, friends, family, or anyone in your life to show them you appreciate them.

Jessica Coats, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society, joined us in studio to discuss the fundraiser.

Coats said the daffodil is the first flower of spring.

"Daffodils are significant because they are known as the flower of hope, which is a key part of fighting cancer," she said.

Groups of co-workers, families, and friends can collect orders by emailing Coats at  One bunch is $12, three bunches are $30, a half case is $275, and a full case is $500.

You can also purchase "A Gift of Hope" for a  local cancer patient for $25.

Flowers will be available for pick-up on March 19 and 20 at The Flower Patch.
