OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) - Police say the body of a man discovered in the Ogden River Saturday was that of a missing man.
The body was found near 600 West and 20th Street just about 7 p.m. after river rafters found the body floating in the river. He has since been identified as 49-year-old Carl Roper.
Roper was reported missing on August 27th. Police say he was last seen fishing in the area along the river. His body was found a quarter of a mile down river.
The cause of death has not been released.
The body has been sent to the Medical Examiner's officer for further identification.
