Bernie Sanders in the Beehive State for Democratic unity tour

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) United States Senator Bernie Sanders is coming back to Utah.

Sanders,  Chairman of the Democratic Party Tom Perez and other leaders are traveling to nine states starting next week. The tour will begin April 17 and last roughly one week.

They'll be speaking about raising the minimum wage, equal pay for women, climate change and tuition-free colleges among other topics.

The two will cast the tour as a unity effort aimed at turning Democratic efforts away from intra-party squabbles and toward resisting President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans.

Sanders, Perez and others will appear Friday, April 21 at The Rail Center at 235 North 500 West at 12 p.m.
