Apple unveils iPhone 8 and iPhone X

09/13/2017 - SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) The new iPhone and other Apple products were unveiled and tech life coach Christopher Krause joined Good Morning Utah with Emily Clark to give us the scoop.

Ten years after the launch of the first iPhone, Apple unveiled its anniversary edition smartphone. At its annual press conference, the company revealed the iPhone ten, that sports the roman numeral "x".

Among its features, the iPhone ten kills the home button to make space for a larger screen. It has an edge-to-edge display, glass on the front and back and a surgical grade stainless steel band around the edges. It's water and dust resistant.

Apple also unveiled the iPhone 8 and 8 plus. Pre-orders start Friday, September 15th and hit stores the following Friday, September 22nd

A new apple watch was among the products unveiled by the company at its annual press conference in California.

CEO Tim cook called it the world's best-selling watch.

The waterproof apple watch series three has a built-in cellular connection - meaning it no longer needs an i-phone nearby for most tasks. Apple showed off the device's new capabilities with a live phone call from the stage to a person on a paddle board in the middle of a lake.

 The watch also has a greater focus on fitness and health - capable of tracking a user's physical activity and detecting an elevated pulse. It will cost $399 with cellular function, and $329 without it.
