Anonymous apology, cash sent to Orem 25 years after vandalism

OREM, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) Orem City received an apology and $500 cash for vandalism committed 25 years ago. 
 
Reed Price, the maintenance division manager with Orem City, received the anonymous letter in the mail Monday.  The letter, addressed to the Orem City Parks Maintenance Division, had no return address. 
 
In the letter, the writer explains how he and some friends vandalized a partition in a restroom at Bonnevile Park in 1990. "I regret the actions of my youth but need to make right the financial burden I created," he wrote. 
 
"We hope that individual feels the peace he hoped that confession would bring," said Price.
 
Orem City shared the story on its Facebook page where it was share more than 160 times.
