$5,000 reward offered to help solve Midvale murder

Police: ‘Someone who has killed someone is still out there.'

MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 News) — On the night of August 26, Jordan Moulton was shot and killed — a crime that police say they need your help to solve.

“Today we’re looking for testimonial evidence — we’re looking for witness information,” said Det. Ken Hansen with Unified Police

“That’s what you have to think about--is someone who has killed someone is still out there,” added Hansen.

The shooting happened in the area of Monroe Street And Columbia Drive in Midvale around 8:20 p.m. on Aug. 26.

“It was the worst feeling I’ve ever had in my life,” said Shane Armstrong, Moulton’s stepfather, upon hearing the news.

“What we want is closure, we want to know who did this — we want to know why you did it. You’ve changed our lives forever, you haven’t just changed yours—you’ve changed ours. And we just want to know why,” said Armstrong.

A private $5,000 donation is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
