$28K Worth of Drugs Seized in Orem - OREM, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Two women were taken into custody and $28,000 worth of drugs were seized Monday.
Utah County Sgt. Spencer Cannon said detectives stopped the car the women were driving in after they saw the driver, 38-year-old Kelli Dawn Clark texting and driving.
“Prior to the stop detectives watched Clark and her passenger [Breanna Jenee Ketler, 25] make several stops with people were known drug users,” a press release from Sgt. Cannon said.
Clark and Ketler, both of Springville, were found with half a pound of methamphetamine, over an ounce of heroin, and several different prescription medications. Officials say the drugs had a street value of at least $28,000.
They are facing charges of possession with intent to distribute.
Clark was also booked for DUI, driving with a suspended license, and texting while driving. Police say she is also on probation with the Utah Department of Adult Probation and Parole.
