2 Injured in Construction Accident

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)Salt Lake City emergency crews responded to a construction accident near West High School Thursday afternoon. 

Officials say two male construction workers operating scissor lifts were injured at 255 North 400 West. Salt Lake City fire officials say the men suffered injuries on the sixth floor of a building under construction. First responders performed rescue carry operations to get them out of the building. 

The two men were taken by ambulance to IMC Trauma Center with "various injuries." 

The specifics of the accident are not immediately available. Salt Lake City police is on scene investigating and coordinating with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
