High-speed chase leads to arrest

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police attempted to pull over a car for not having a license plate but the driver sped off.  The chase started at 3360 South Constitution Blvd in West Valley City early Tuesday morning.  

Police pursued the vehicle into Murray where it eventually ran into a curb, flattening all four tires.  The male driver, Stevan Hernandez, fled and police were able to catch him and took him to jail for fleeing from police and resisting arrest as well as other charges.  

Officers also found 2 juvenile females in the car which were questioned and released.  

During the chase, the driver threw out some bags which police later recovered and found to be pills of some sort.
