WEDNESDAY, Utah (Good4Utah)-Utah is on high fire danger, but it's not just wildfires that we should be worried about. House fires can be a problem as well. Page Neal from the Red Cross was in studio to discuss the wide range of fire danger in our state. Neal brought up the fact that people don't realize the most common disaster threat is not an earthquake or a flood-it's home fires. Last year, the Red Cross responded to more than 220 families who were affected by house fires. During disasters, the Red Cross helps to provide families with emotional and physical support, a warm place to stay, food and clothing to start with the recovery process. Also, workers continually work with communities to be as prepared as possible.
