Child killed in crash in front of Clinton Elementary School

- CLINTON, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - A child is dead after a head on collision in front of Clinton Elementary School Wednesday afternoon.

According to Clinton Police Chief Bill Chilson, a man driving a westbound vehicle on 1800 North collided head on with a vehicle headed east.

A child in the westbound vehicle, estimated to be about 4 or 5 years old, died in the crash. Another passenger, a toddler, was critically injured.

The female driver of the eastbound vehicle also was critically injured, Chilson said.

Chilson said it was unclear whether the children in the first vehicle were properly restrained. Police declined to release any more details Wednesday evening.
