Arrest made in fatal Salt Lake City hit and run

- SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 73-year-old pedestrian last week.

Genaro Zaragoza-Valencia was walking along 1000 West on the evening of Nov. 25 when a silver BMW struck him and drove away. The crash happened near 1700 South. Zaragoza was taken off life support the next day.

On Saturday, police arrested Deryk Robeldo in his parents' Salt Lake City home, two days after identifying him as a person of interest in the case. The BMW he is alleged to have driven the night Zaragoza was killed also was recovered in Woods Cross.

Robeldo was booked into the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of second-degree felony hit-and-run and third-degree felony obstruction of justice.
