Will "Romney Tsunami" help elect Mia Love?

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - In a close race, it could make a difference.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - According to a new Salt Lake Tribune poll, Republican Mia Love now leads Democrat Jim Matheson 52% to 40% in the race for Utah's hotly contested 4th Congressional seat.

But Matheson has his own poll and his own numbers.

They show him leading Love by two points.

But Matheson isn't just running against Love.

He's also, in a way, running against Mitt Romney and running in a new, more conservative district.

Both present challenges.

In Utah's political circles, it's being called the “Romney Tsunami."

With Mitt Romney at the top of the election ticket - and with Utahns expected to vote for him in big numbers - that could help other Republicans like Mia Love.

For more on the Romney Tsunami, watch this week’s “On the Record.

It’s a special election preview and can be seen Sunday morning at 7:30 and on our website abc4.com
