His name is Domingo Copyak, His friends call him "Creeper" but the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit call him this week’s Public Enemy Number One.
"He's been at parties where a stabbing happened and people have been shot, he fled from police in a vehicle," said Rick Simonelli, Deputy U.S. Marshall assigned to the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit.
Police said Copyak or “Creeper” is part of the FVL gang or Familia Vario Locos. Police said it has ties to the Norteno gang in California. ABC 4 is told Copyak is notorious for running from police. In 2011 they chased his car to the America First Credit Union parking lot on 5400 South in Taylorsville.
"He didn't want to pull over for the police, he knew they were behind him, he ended up crashing his car and getting ejected from the vehicle," said Simonelli.
A few months ago Copyak was paroled from prison and was supposed to check in with police, but right now they have no idea where he is. The last time anyone saw him was in a Kearns neighborhood on Highwood Drive, and its not sitting well with some people who live there.
"It makes me a little nervous we have people like that going through our neighborhood," said Dain Batty, Kearns resident.
"It concerns me a little," said Ken Parker, Kearns resident.
"Anything like that of course, you got to be nervous," said Ephraim Leesang, Kearns resident.
Police said Copyak is a 28-year-old white man who’s 5'6", 300 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. They said Copyak has tattoos on face, head, and arms. The tattoos on his right arm read: "XIV", "RPN"; the tattoo on his left arm reads: "Norteno".
If you think you've seen Copyak, police want you to call them at their dispatch number 801-743-7000.
"If anyone has information they should contact our dispatch, they'll forward the call to me, we'd love to come pick him up and get him off the streets," said Simonelli.
Police said all tips are anonymous and could receive a cash reward.
