Postpartum Depression

Postpartum Depression

Utah mom Elizabeth Lamb shared her personal struggle with Postpartum Depression to help other moms out there who may be going through the same thing.
Elizabeth Lamb says when her fourth child was born, she didn't feel right.  She didn't realize it, but she was struggling with Postpartum Depression.

Kristen Hodson from The Healing Group helped Elizabeth work through the issues.

She says 60 percent of Utah moms reported mild to moderate symptoms of Postpartum Depression.  That is more than half of moms out there so you are not alone!

Postpartum Depression can show up a year after having a baby and often symptoms start during pregnancy, which was also the case with Elizabeth.

Anger is a common symptom, but often gets overlooked.  Other symptoms include anxiety and excessive worry.

Kristen says the idea of being a good mom or a bad mom is a myth.  All moms can get Postpartum Depression.  She says it's not your fault and you did not cause your depression.
