TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A six agency police team caught a wanted fugitive with several outstanding warrants early Wednesday morning.

The search began late Tuesday night when a member of the gang task force caught a glimpse of a wanted felon in Taylorsville.

While police converged on the area, the suspect slipped away on foot. With the help of a sharp-nosed K-9, 29-year-old Carlos Rangel was tracked to his sister's home.

Police wore masks and gloves because of reports that someone in the home was sick with the H1N1 swine flu virus.

Police found Rangel hiding under a bed in a back bedroom and booked him into the Salt Lake County jail. He is wanted for aggravated kidnapping and burglary.
