Black Mountain Fire advancing toward Iron County

The fast-burning brush fire currently threatens at least one structure near Minersville and has grown beyond 750 acreas.
MINERSVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Firefighters are battling a fast burning blaze located three miles south east of Minersville, in Beaver County.

Fire information officer, Nick Howell, says the Black Mountain Fire is estimated to be about 750 acres and growing. (One acre is equivalent to a football field). The fire is quickly moving south toward Iron County. Multiple agencies are on the scene fighting the blaze.
The cause of the fire is a lightning strike. Firefighters are working to protect property in the area. At this time, at least one cabin is threatened.

The fire is visible from Cedar City and all surrounding areas. The fire has caused a few road closures. Maple Springs Road, Black Mountain Road and Camel Hollow Road are all closed at this time.
