Adam Carroll

Meteorologist

Adam has been a vital employee over the years to ABC4 and the CW30. Adam was hired in November 2011 as a full-time Weather Producer who has worked behind the scenes building our wonderful and creative weather graphics. He works side by side with Chief Meteorologist, Dan Pope forecasting Utah’s most accurate weather. In April 2013, Adam’s weather expertise, knowledge and creativity using our state of the art computer graphics system, earned him a spot as a Weather Forecaster for the CW30 News at 9. Adam's 12 years in Utah helps him deliver Utah’s most accurate pinpoint forecast.

Adam has spent most of his younger years in Central Massachusetts, but he has also lived in Tampa, Florida and Bolton Valley, Vermont before settling in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The unpredictability of New England winters made forecasting even more fascinating and challenging for Adam. At the age of 5, Adam knew that he wanted to be a Meteorologist on TV after watching several hours of The Weather Channel every day. During the years of living in Florida, Adam fell even more in love with the weather after he witnessed 2 tornadoes narrowly miss his house and living through Hurricane Andrew.

Adam graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Meteorology. During his last semester of college at The University of Utah, Adam began a weather internship at KUTV2 News in Salt Lake City and upon graduation was hired to be their Weather Producer.

When Adam is not forecasting the weather he is with his wife Shannon and their dog Jerry, are out exploring everything Utah has to offer. They love snow skiing, water skiing, or hiking and camping. They also love to travel as much as they can and enjoy going to new destinations. Adam could not be more fired up to be a part of the Pinpoint Weather Team, helping deliver Utah’s most accurate forecast.
