10th annual Tulip Festival at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens, April 18-May 3, 2014, (closed Sundays).
More than a quarter-million tulips in 137 unique varieties are planted across 55 acres gardens.
The Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival is celebrating its 10 years as the only one of its kind in the Rocky Mountain Region. It is one of Utah’s most popular events with more than 48,000 guests visiting each year from all around the world.
The tulip display is redesigned every year and mixed with thousands of other early spring flowers for guests to enjoy. Early, mid-season, and late blooming tulips are planted in the Gardens so guests have the longest possible timeframe to enjoy the tulip season.
Thanksgiving Point’s tulips are imported directly from Holland and are from the same distributor that provides tulips for the Easter floral display that surrounds the Pope when he gives the annual Easter blessing at the Vatican and St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
During the event, there will be daily garden tours and demonstrations and on the weekends will be outdoor musical entertainment, performances, craft and food vendors.
