International Women’s Day is celebrated in Afghanistan and Zambia, and almost 1,000 locations in between. The largest celebration in Utah is on March 6 at the Rail Event Center, presented by Girl Scouts of Utah! Join us as we honor the economic, political and social achievements of women with a one-of-a-kind silent auction, delicious dinner, signature cocktails, and live music from Conn Curran and the Rob Bennion Band. Guests will also witness a surreal, aerial acrobatics performance! This will truly be a night to remember.
Girl Scouts of Utah is especially pleased to honor this year’s Tough Cookie recipient: Natalie Gochnour, who embodies the theme of the evening, “Girl Scouts Mean Business.” Gochnour is the Associate Dean in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah and Chief Economist for the Salt Lake Chamber. She is also the newly minted Salt Lake City Airport Board Chair. She has advised Utah Governors and served as an appointee in the George W. Bush administration, serving as an associate administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency and a Deputy to the Secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services.
