Stadium of Fire marks 33rd year of celebration

- PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Stadium of Fire proved to be another great celebration of July 4 at BYU's LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Approximately 50,000 people filled the stadium for the festivities Thursday night. ABC 4 Utah talked to people who traveled for the event from states like Virginia and Illinois.

Although jets were not allowed to fly over the stadium, skydivers kicked off the event. Members of Cirque Du Soleil performed before Carly Rae Jepson took the stage, followed by headliner Kelly Clarkson.

This marked the 33rd year of the annual Stadium of Fire event as part of the Freedom Festival.
