Body of Brigham Bradley recovered

- WILLARD BAY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Update: Weber County Authorities confirmed the body of Brigham Bradley was recovered Saturday Afternoon.

Authorities are now on a recovery mission as the search grows for Brigham Bradley on Willard Bay.

It has been over 24 hours since Bradley went missing in the South Marina.

Bradley's family couldn't be more thankful for the search efforts by various agencies.

"They're all volunteers giving their time on a Saturday looking for my brother so we're very grateful for that," Jared Bradley, a brother, said.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office is the latest agency to join the search because of their expertise with water rescues and their high tech equipment.

"We've got more sophisticated equipment on scene to search with," Mark Lowther with the Weber County Sheriff's Office said. "We've got those vessels that have side scan sonar on them and we're doing grid searches right now."

Authorities said Bradley was last seen by friends Friday afternoon. The 32-year-old Weber County Corrections Officer stayed behind on a broken down jet ski while others went to grab rope. Bradley was gone when they returned.

"There's been an amazing outpouring of support from a lot of different directions," Jared said. "We didn't expect it to be so widespread."

The family is trying to stay calm, but reality is setting in that their loved one might not be found alive.

"I think there's still some denial on our part, but reality is setting in," Jared added.

The search is a joint effort by various agencies including Utah State Parks, Box Elder County, Weber County and Utah County.
