Your chance to see a desert tortoise up close

Haven't seen any desert tortoises lately? It's not just because they're ducking into their shells. Krissy Wilson of the Utah Division Wildlife Resources and Brent Beardsley of the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium explained why the desert tortoise, among other animals, are slowly disappearing.

If you're interested in seeing the desert tortoise in person, instead of on screen, visit the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium May 19 - 21 for Endangered Species Weekend. The weekend will include a family fun Scavenger Hunt to find Utah endangered species and an educational portion on how to protect them.
