Sugar-Free Teriyaki Sauce with XyloSweet

Sugar-Free Teriyaki Sauce w/ XyloSweet

½ cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
¼ cup water
2 Tbsp. Rice vinegar
½ cup XyloSweet (xylitol granules)
1 clove garlic or 1½ tsp. minced garlic
1" fresh ginger (2 tsp grated ginger)

Dissolve the XyloSweet in the water (either in a microwave or in a saucepan on the stove). Add this mixture to a blender and puree all of the ingredients together. Alternatively, if the garlic and ginger are finely minced, the sauce can be whisked together in a bowl once the xylitol is fully dissolved.
Use as a marinate or basting liquid for chicken, fish, beef or even vegetables.
Glaze: To make a teriyaki glaze, mix 1 tsp of corn starch with ½ tsp of water and stir into approximately ¾ cup of the Teriyaki sauce. Bring sauce to a boil or microwave until the sauce begins to thicken. The Glaze will continue to thicken as it cools. Baste onto cooked chicken or fish or mix into stir-fried vegetables.
