Sugar Free Sugar Cookies

These (sugar-free) sugar cookies are a cinch to make. Let the kids have a field day decorating them with XyloSweet Frosting.
Whisk together:
  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Beat on medium speed until very fluffy and well blended:
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of Xylosweet
Add and beat until well combined:
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon of finely grated lemon zest
  • Stir the flour mixture into the XyloSweet mixture until well blended and smooth. Cover and refrigerate until slightly firm for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375*F. Roll out dough to ¼” thick and cup the cookies into shape. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until cookies are golden all over. Remove cookies from sheet and let it cool on the wire rack. Decorate with Xylosweet Frosting and enjoy!
XyloSweet Frosting
  • 1 cup of Xylosweet
  • 2 tablespoon of unsalted butter; softened
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon lemon juice
  • Combine all ingredients and beat on medium speed until smooth.
