Why Teens Need a Swimsuit Made for Their Body Type

Seventeen year old designer Marissa Barlow, co-founder of Nani Swimwear, will debut this year's new line at Utah Fashion Week this March. Marissa is from Smithfield, Utah and began Nani Swimwear along with her partners, Amy Rasmussen and Janna Barlow. As a young designer, Marissa has a unique insight into what teens want in the fit and style of their swimwear. 

Marissa explains, "I have always had a passion for fashion and photography. I saw a need for trendy yet comfortable swimsuits. I remember a pool party where everyone was complaining about experiencing the same thing. They could not find cute suits targeted to our age. I started sketching and doodling swimsuits at school and on sticky notes at work. This is how Nani Swimwear was born."

The Hawaiian word nani, pronounced "naw-nee", translates to beautiful. Marissa and her experienced team have worked hard to create swimwear that teens will feel beautiful and confident wearing. The Nani Fit is targeted to active teens with built-in features that provide support for any adventure or just relaxing by the pool.
