Kat from Torello Painting practices an art technique called Bas Relief (Bah-Ree-leef). It is created by adding or carving away at a special, super durable plaster. This technique creates a beautiful 3-D image and is used on walls, stairways, niches, and range hoods. Kat says this is the most fun way to do art and loves to do full wall murals. They take her about 4 days to do but the result is breathtaking.

Kat is also fundraising to buy art and school supplies for Andean Children. Recently on a trip to Peru, she gave out 240 Pencils to a whole elementary school in the mountains of Peru. She learned how many of these children are not able to do their homework at home because they don't have school supplies there. She is collecting money to send them the school and art supplies they need and all donations are greatly appreciated.

If you would like to contact Kat about her artwork or doing a Bas Relief piece in your home you can visit or call (435) 513-1975
