Solar Panels Have a New Perfect Partner

Is insulation really the way to go if you are trying to save energy and money? RadiaSource is a Utah based company that is entering it's 6th year in operation. They have installed over 2 million square feet of product in the state.

Ryan Garrett is the founder of RadiaSource and the only person in Utah ever accepted into the Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association. He has presented for multiple building associations and energy trade shows including an international conference in Kuwait.

RadiaSource is a heat shield. They staple it to the top of the trusses in home attics or in the roofs of metal buildings to keep heat in during the winter and out during the summer. This can be used in existing buildings or in new developments.

"By installing RadiaSource, your home or building becomes more comfortable and more energy efficient. Since you will be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, you won't use as much energy," explained Justin from Intermountain Wind and Solar, "By reducing the amount of energy you use, the efficiency of your solar system goes up, and your costs go down."

Intermountain Wind and Solar says they have a strong commitment to what's best for the customer.
"Some of the solar installers in the state avoid using RadiaSource because it can reduce the size of a solar system. The comment of one manager was that their company's goal is to sell more panels, not less panels. This is not the attitude of Intermountain Wind and Solar," shared Ryan.
They are offering RadiaSource as part of every install until March.
